This section features five paintings currently in process. Some of these are commissioned by a particular organization and others are not yet placed. I like to work on several pieces at once; the studio can be full of creative works at different points of completion. I believe in taking plenty of time for research and observation. Here are examples of the development stages of four of these projects.

Stage 1, Brook scene, Pencil sketch on paper for 4 panel painting for the office of a conservation group, four 11:x 8.5" sheets, (I have made a number of trips to this site to observe different seasons and weather conditions at the brook.
Stage 2, Brook scene, quarter size color sketch for larger painting, watercolor on four sheets of watercolor paper The scene depicts the brook running through the four seasons.
