INNER WORLD ABSTRACT
Starting in high school, I began to be curious about ways to use my imagination as a resource for my artwork. This form of expression have been inspired by meditation and yoga and Tai Chi practice as well as by nature. I have drawn from the imagery of plants growing, seeds sprouting and water flowing across landscapes to create less realistic and more personally expressive compositions. If I can relax my body and mind and do not have any preconceived ideas, unexpected surprises can flow out of my brush onto the painting surface. The outcome can be magical and etherial as shown in examples below.
