LONG ISLAND SOUND and CT RIVER WATERSHED

I have lived and worked for more than forty years as an artist and art teacher close to Long Island Sound in southeastern Connecticut. Becoming a keen observer of the land, waters  and eco-system in this region has been important. This has inspired me to create landscape paintings that show the beauty and uniqueness of its rivers, estuaries and tidal marshes. My paintings are often focused on the movement and moods of the sky and water. Most of my landscape scenes are inspired by the coast in the area of Old Lyme, CT.  Watch Hill, RI,  Plum Island, NY, and the hills and forests of Northwestern, MA have also been subjects.
